So tonight the power went out pretty hard and it killed our television. Guess I will be calling Pacific Power.

Ciara Ann Mullinax -- What's in a name.

Everyone, thanks again! Kim and I have so enjoyed reading the messages here and on facebook from everyone through all the craziness the past few days. (All of us are doing well too…)

We hope to get a photo gallery up soon, probably at costco.com and then an e-mail to everyone that we have on our contact lists since word has only been spread by phone or facebook so far…

What we have observed from family recently is there’s a little confusion on the pronunciation of Ciara’s first name.

The best way, as Kim and I can figure, is to say Kee-Ra. Here’s a short “as it would sound if you lived in Ireland” clip to listen to, courtesy babynamesofireland.com.

We chose the name Ciara because of a few different simple reasons.

1. It maintains the uniquely Irish first name that the two boys have.

2. It would be difficult to shorten.

3. It’s darn pretty.

So remember, pass it on, it’s Kee-Ra (laugh) Take care everyone. I’ll post when things calm down.

Update: Both mom and daughter slept well last night. Both will be eating soon and everything seems to be going OK. We have a few tests and paperwork things this morning so I think we’ll be heading home this afternoon.

As for the video, like I did with Liam, I smashed various video clips and images together last night and let the machine work while we slept. I hope you enjoy a little bit of Ciara’s first day!

(quick update: some of the photos in the video were tweaked in a bad way after I put it into the video software… she appears a bit gray, pink and yellow at times. She’s fine, the software just goofed the colors up a bit and I noticed after watching it again…)

Welcome Ciara Ann Mullinax

Ciara Ann was born at 4 p.m. today and she’s healthy and doing well.

Kim is doing well and is nursing her now. Spread the news, we got a girl!

Ciara is 7 pounds 1 ounce and 21 inches long.

Kim,s bag has been broken and if we remeber right, Liam took about two hours after that to be born. So our guess is anytime now.
Kim is still feeling good without pain. We are really excited!

Getting checked in, baby is monitored and IVs plugged in.

We have checked in and I need to start calling folks.

Video updates will probably be the way to go from here out. Kim and baby are doing really well.

Induction isn’t just for the hall of fame

Easter update: Kim has been doing quite well lately, just a bit of swelling in her wrists. The contractions have for the most part subsided and now it looks more like we’ll be finding out if Dr. Harrington recommends induction at our weekly appointment Monday morning.

I suppose the next post will be after that, but who knows right?

Still baby in waiting

Still cruizin’ along fine, but no rush to the hospital yet. Looks like we’re going out to give the boys something to do.
“Baby 3’s arrival has been delayed. Passengers of Baby Air can expect to board the next flight momentarily.” At least that’s the humor I’m trying to imagine while drinking coffee this morning.
